Everything was great. Flavorful, not greasy. The vegetables were tender-crisp. My husband hasn't liked any Chinese restaurant in Kingston since he moved here 2 years ago - but was ready to go back to China Rose the very next night!

The food is inconsistent, but is sometimes amazing. The sake margaritas are always a win, as are the goat cheese wontons, and the dumplings. Fun atmosphere.

i love china rose for a delicious night out, or for take out. the dishes are flavorful and creative. try the tangerine peel chicken, goat cheese wantons, shrimp with snow peas, and of course, their legendary sake margaritas...friendly staff, awesome river-view location...one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the area

Yes
The atmosphere is fun and lively, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The food is good, but not great. The beef tends to be tough, the vegetable fried rice lacking in vegetables. The chicken dishes are probably the best bet. Nothing very Chinese about any of it, but all in all an enjoyable dining experience. The frozen sake margaritas are fab!

As an ex-New Yorker, it's hard to adjust to these prices for simple, Chinese food - almost $10 more per entree than can be found in every neighborhood in the city. BUT, I realize this isn't the city and although it's not "cheap Chinese food", it's tasty. I keep wishing they would get more imaginative with their menu and throw in some updated twists to the offerings.

I used to come here alot when my bestfried lived in Rhinecliff. Great just for drinks but the menu is terrific too! The staff is super-friendly and nice and you will always have a great time!

My wife and I have dinner at China Rose every couple of months. It's a 30 minute drive for us but it's worth it!

The food at China Rose uses the best ingredients...everything is VERY fresh. Also the Sake Margarita's are amazing! China Rose is one of the seminal restaurants of the Hudson Valley. Rhinecliff is beautiful and soon the Rhinecliff Hotel will be open and jumpin again. If you haven't been to China Rose....you should definitely give it a try. Last but not least....the house special soup is great...another favorite of mine right up there with the tangerine chicken....yummy!

They have some of the best experimental Chinese food in the Hudson Valley, and honstly some of the best anywhere. I make a point to visit them every time I am in the region.
