Dinner For two

Yes
Ive been to this restaurant many times and have always had a good experience. The food is good and reasonably priced and my service has always been good. Their management staff seems to be on top of things and visit the tables to ensure the guests have what they need. I have had better service elsewhere, but the service here is good and the servers seem to want to make your visit enjoyable. I have never had to send anything back and they have some different specials on a weekly basis. Their deserts are great..huge and more than enough for one person. I recommend this place ...the food is great.service is good and the view..............................WOW.

Maybe
The setting is dynamite but we were very disappointed in the food. My husband had a chicken dish and the sauce just did not taste good. I ordered tuna rare and it was very well done. They did take it back and make it right and also bought me a drink which was nice. I would stick to drinks on the patio.

Dinner

No
Worst I have ever experienced. After being seated for 15 minutes, we only had bread & water, no waiter ever showed up. There was a party going on in the separate room off to the left of the main dining room with perhaps 50 people. The main dining room (where the bar is located) had 6 people at one table diagonally next to ours and the bar had maybe 15 people. That's ALL the patrons that were there at the time (6:30 PM on a Wednesday). I counted at least 8 staff pass within 10 feet of our table. I think they have a serious management/staff communications problem. The manager passed withing 10 feet our table TWICE and acknowledged us with a glance. Maybe he doesn't understand what his job is.

Drinks & Dinner

Maybe
I would agree with a prior review that this place is over the top and worth a visit. The positives; the drinks, the service, the salad and the bread...the negatives; the main course. I personally think it is close to impossible to provide high quality food at the volumes that this place is kicking out, and our experience proved that to be true. Our main courses were very mediocre (ahi tuna- over cooked, crab cakes-greasy, chicken- served with a mound of hardened mashed potatoes). Generally not my scene but my hat's off to the proprietors for pulling off something of this size in Poughkeepsie. I might go back for brunch to check out the views.

Dinner

Yes
This venue is completely "over the top"...from the garden entrance, theme dining rooms, flar screen tv wall and mixology booth. It is worth the visit, just for the experience. We enjoyed a bottle of malbec for $21.. a real deal. The dinner salad was fresh and even had tomato slices in the winter. My queen prime rib was a nice cut and properly cooked. The rice accompaniment was clumpy. The blackened shrimp and scallops were also enjoyed at the table.. Service was well intentioned, but not too smooth
