I walked in the door a few minutes before closing and the young man at the counter yelled at me "we close in tow minutes". Instead of advising me of when the store closed and asking if he could assist me, he felt closing on time was much more important than customer service. The sign on the door still read "open". I will never shop there again. I will deal with a store that knows how to treat their customers right. PS - The owner was there and never even apologized.

I have had problems in the past with not feeling welcome in this store but this put the icing on the cake. It is important these days to welcome customers and want them to come back even if the prices are higher. I don't need to go to the store to be insulted again.

Kathy and Ira have EXPIRED cat food products on their shelves. I have told them about it for 3 months. Product is from Aug and Sept 07. I told them again today and they called me a troublemaker because I told them I was protesting by not making a purchase. Are you a customer? Tell them you want FRESH food for your beloved pets. In particular, I am talking about Friskies 5.5 oz canned food. I haven't checked anything else. Price is great, local is better, but someone who cares about your pets like you do is all that really matters. Kathy and Ira are surly and would be better off in a web-oriented business in which dealing with customers face to face was not a condition of the job.

Because Pet Country carries all the best brands of pet food, it is unfortunate that the owners are unpleasant in the customer service area. I was at a dinner party this weekend where everyone present had their own story about Pet Country's unfriendly attitude towards customers. I have found that the owners are also not very knowledgeable about the products that they stock. I think the consensus seems to be that we really do not like giving this pet store our business, and only do so out of a lack of good alternatives at present. It has been also a complaint from customers that the owners park their own vehicles in the two spots closest to the door forcing everyone else to park a distance from the door which is inconvenient when hauling large bags of food.
