I've always loved Upstate Films. It's one of the best independent cinemas that I've ever been to. I've seen bands perform live to silent films at Upstate, I've seen student films from Bard College, and I've put on a tux and joined their crew for Oscar night! You can always count on their taste! You don't even have to check the listings of what's playing....just go there and buy a ticket. They have the short release gems and the best independent features from all over the world. If you care about film and cinema and you live in the Hudson Valley, do yourself a favor and become a member of Upstate Films. The membership is very reasonable and the films are brilliant. And, oh yeah, they use REAL BUTTER on their popcorn!

Elephant is the perfect addition to Uptown Kingston! The food is innovative and fresh; tasty and fun! The meals are small and inexpensive so you can try a lot of different items. The meats are from Fleischer's, the specialty cheeses are from all over the world and the pate' is made fresh. The wine selection is unique and hand picked by the owners who are sweet and genuinely providing the best service and quality in taste that they can. Staff is friendly and on point. And the place is HIP....there is a turntable behind the bar.....need I say more!?!

Bubby's Burritos is owned by a lifetime Hudson Valley resident and her husband who is a native of San Miguel, Mexico....Bubby and Rodrigo. They have THE MOST PHENOMENAL burrito recipe in the world! I sit at work dreaming of a Bubby's Burrito for lunch and on many days I will drive all the way from Kingston just for one of their burritos. There is nothing like it! They also serve quesadillas and a special beverage of spring water and fruit juice. Everything is very very fresh and feels great. The people are wonderful! When you eat a burrito at Bubby's and there are kids playing in the grass and the sun is shining, you feel like the world can't help but be wonderful! It's also mad cheap and fast! If you haven't been to Bubby's.....you haven't BEEN!! :)
