Arielle is a new French Bistro in Rhinebeck. It is apparently owned by the same people that own the Belvedere Mansion. They've done a very nice job upgrading the space with a nice bar area, a cozy banquette and traditional bistro feel. The food was great, we had steak frites and lobster with citris polenta. Delicious! A great addition to Rhinebeck, we will definitely go back. They also intend to open for lunch which we look forward to trying out.

Red Dot in Hudson is a great place to go for brunch. I love their French Toast with wild berries. It's served with tons of fresh berries, whipped cream and real maple syrup...delicious! The bar atmosphere is really cozy for brunch, but when the weather is nice, you can't beat the outdoor courtyard.

I have to agree with the prior review...Olde Hudson in Hudson is a great place to shop for specialty food items. I stopped in several times over the holidays for cheese plate items for holiday entertaining and everything was delicious. Fine cheeses, rosemary flat bread, chorizo and soprasata were quickly eaten up! But the biggest treat is the fresh bread from the former Sullivan Street bakery. They pick it up every friday from the city...yum! The people that work there were always helpful and pleasant. One time, we were driving through Hudson in need of bread for dinner and we past Olde Hudson as the owner was leaving and had already locked the door behind her. She was kind enough to re-open the store, without hesitation and graciously offered us a wonderful choice of bread. We had it half eaten before we even got home!
